Conference accomodation scam warning:
Some of you have received an email from ‘Expo Hotel Services’ (sent e.g. from ‘support@ehotelservices.org’), offering the booking of hotel accomodation for the SPSP 2022 conference in Gent. This is a scam!
We have no agreement with this or any other travel agency for hotels or travel arrangements.
The hotel booking, plane/train tickets, and transfers have to be arranged by participants themselves.
A quick google search will show that ‘Expo Hotel Services’ tries this with many conferences recently; but be diligent with booking for any conference — the company name and email can change while the phishing method stays the same.
